As the founder of Starbell, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of strength training, especially for women as we age. Entering my late 30s and drawing from my experience as a NASM certified trainer, I realized there was a crucial gap in the wellness industry: while women desperately need to maintain muscle mass to protect their health as they age, most muscle-building products are aggressively marketed towards men.

Growing up in the early 2000s, I was surrounded by a culture that prioritized thinness above all else. This outdated mindset not only affected our self-esteem but also our long-term health. Watching my mother's generation struggle with osteoporosis and other age-related ailments that could have been prevented by maintaining muscle mass was a wake-up call.

I founded Starbell to change this narrative. I understand the hesitation many women feel about strength training, fearing they'll become "bulky." But the truth is, building and maintaining muscle is crucial for women's health, especially as we age. It's not about achieving a certain look; it's about empowering our bodies to stay strong and resilient.

Starbell aims to make it easier for women to find products and community that support their strength journey, whether it's creatine, BCAAs, or other supplements traditionally seen as "masculine." Our mission is to help women embrace their bodies for what they can do, not just how they look.
